Michele's Note

What does it mean to be a Keeper of the home?

Titus 2:3-5

(King James Version)
" The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed."

"Keeper at home"

- a stayer at home,
domestically inclined,
a good house keeper of a family dwelling
(The New Strong's Exhaustive Concordance)

Michele's Note

Many aspects of ourselves come in to play as we attempt to honor God in our daily walk as Keepers at Home. In our nature we struggle to manage our lives honorably before the Lord. We are to do all to the Glory of God for that is the purpose of man.
As a woman, wife and mother, many obstacles get in our way. We each have many tasks to accomplish in a 24 hour day. Home maintenance coupled with child care, errands, home education, outside-the-home activities and occasional failing health can cause a woman to feel behind in her obligations as Keeper of the home. It is my desire to offer you a tool for your use toward your endeavor of being a good steward of your home.

Let us look Well
To The Ways of our Households

I want to encourage you to evaluate your life and service to our Lord. It is my hope that you may see your first and foremost service is to the household over which He has placed you manager. I admonish you to come before the mercy seat each day, asking Him to bless your steps that they might honor Him. Plead for wisdom that you will see the obstacles as they arise. Ask for discernment over what the "real" needs of the household are for each day. Be willing to lay down any list to love, train, nurture and admonish your children. Pray that the Lord will help you to be content in whatsoever state you may find yourself.

May the Lord richly bless you,
